Signalling tester validates emergency messages

Anritsu offers three Carrier Acceptance Test (CAT) packages for its MD8475A signalling tester with SmartStudio Manager control software. The CAT packages guarantee that Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS)-compatible wireless devices get emergency cell broadcast messages accurately.

The software not only provides device manufacturers with the necessary CAT capability to verify that their wireless devices are correctly receiving emergency messages, but also that they are properly alerting users based on the message contents and severity.

The test packages include 2G, 3G and LTE support. Using SmartStudio Manager, CMAS messages can be sent at any time simply by selecting created and/or edited messages. By simulating a real-world network environment, the MD8475A establishes a simple, accurate process for validating UE performance.
