Semtech unveils TVS device for automotive ESD protection

Semtech Corporation has launched its latest transient voltage suppression (TVS) device, the RClamp0531TQ. Aimed at automotive applications, the device is designed to protect high-speed data interfaces.

The RClamp0531TQ claims to provide unparalleled low-clamping voltage performance, an essential requirement for safeguarding the sensitive electronics common in today's automotive infotainment and telematics systems.

With 5V working voltage protection, the RClamp0531TQ is qualified to grade 1 of the AEC-Q100 automotive reliability standard. As a single-line device, the RClamp0531TQ is housed in a 1mm x 0.6mm package, aiming to give designers added flexibility in optimising their circuit board layout. It is lead-free and RoHS/WEEE compliant. It also has low capacitance (<0.5pF line-to-line).
