Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has revealed its 64bit Snapdragon mobile processors that integrate Cat 6 LTE Advanced multi-mode modem—enhancing computing experiences in video, imaging, and graphics.

Designed in the 20nm process, the Snapdragon 810 and 808 both include support for the company's RF360 frond end solution and carrier aggregation up to 60MHz, enabling speeds as fast as 300Mbit/s.

As Qualcomm's highest performing Snapdagon, the 810 processor caters to the higher end of the mobile devices market spectrum. It is equipped with a high speed LPDDR4 memory, 4K ultra HD interface and video, and 14bit dual image signal processors—allowing a throughput support up to 1.2GP/s and image sensors up to 55MP. The 810 also implements the company's VIVE 2-stream 802.11ac with multi-user MIMO, maximising the performance of local connectivity.

The 808 processor, on the other hand, is a step below the 810, with LPDDR3 memory and 12bit dual image signal processors.

The two Snapdragon processors equip Adreno GPUs. The 810 carries the higher model, 430, which is designed to deliver 30 per cent faster graphics performance while reducing power consumption by up to 20 per cent as compared to its predecessor, the 420. The 808, meanwhile, runs the Adreno 418, supporting up to 20 per cent faster graphics performance than the 430.
