Keywords:NetComm  driver  QUICC  Gigabit Ethernet  interfaces

This application note gives an overview of the structure and flow of a NetComm driver by using the NetComm QUICC Engine Ethernet use case as an example. The driver is broken down and the underlying API calls to the device are documented. GETH driver overview explores the low-level driver flow and shows how the hardware is configured by the driver. Gigabit Ethernet use case shows how the high-level use case interfaces with the driver and configures the hardware; this section also shows how a user can change the configuration. Before you begin, ensure you have access to NetComm projects and source code.
