Six consulting companies have been shortlisted for marketing campaign to promote electronic manufacturing in India. According to a report by The Hindu Business Line, out of 10 proposals, the Government has shortlisted McKinsey, BCG, KPMG, Bain & Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Accenture.

Only one will be selected, among those shortlisted, to help the Government promote “India as an attractive destination for electronic manufacturing.”

“The selected company would be responsible for campaigns and sending messages across the globe on how beneficial it would be for them to invest in India in this sector,” reported The Hindu Business Line.

The Government is expected to finalise the company in the next two months.

Last year, the Government had approved the National Policy on Electronics 2012, which aims to boost the domestic electronic hardware manufacturing. The Government’s goal is to achieve a turnover of around Rs.21.51 lakh crore ($400 billion) and employment to around 2.80 crore people by 2020.
