TE Connectivity has introduced its Rapid Fibre panel product line that claims to enable speed and flexibility in construction and expansion of data centres.

The cabling concept helps data centre operators and installers deliver superior service with a faster response time, and is aimed at dynamic network communications infrastructure environments, added the company.

The Rapid Fibre panel uses TE's RapidReel fibre cable spool to deploy dual 12-fibre 3mm diameter cable—which means the intrafacility cable (IFC) is always the right length. Available in 100ft increments (up to 1000ft), the multi-fibre cable terminates to a multi-fibre push-on connector (MPO) that enables a plug-and-play connection to the main distribution area. The MPO connector and multi-fibre cable ensure fast cable routing and easy handling by technicians, and offers maximum space savings for high-density fibre applications, detailed TE Connectivity.

The combination of microcable, the RapidReel cable spool and MPO connector technology in a single Rapid Fibre panel relieves cable congestion and simplifies the ordering and inventory of equipment. The Rapid Fibre panel also features TE's cable management system—providing bend radius protection, cable routing paths and physical protection for optimal network performance.
