100MΩ thin film resistors wirebond to PCB

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. rolls the CS44 series of thin film chip resistors that are "wirebondable." The devices are based on a chromium silicon thin film resistive element and feature up to 100MΩ of resistance, TCR down to 50ppm/°C, and tolerances to 0.5 per cent in a 1mm x 1mm footprint.

The resistors provide stability of 0.1 per cent for 2,000 hours at rated power and +70°C for high-reliability industrial, medical, military, and aerospace equipment. In these applications, the CS44 resistors can save PCB space and reduce weight by replacing several 20mil by 20mil resistors.

The CS44 series offers a wide resistance range from 400KΩ to 100MΩ, noise of less than -20dB typical, and thermal EMF of less than 0.01µV/°C. The RoHS-compliant devices offer rated power of 0.380W at +70°C, 100V limiting element voltage, and a -55°C to +155°C operating and storage temperature range.

Samples and production quantities of the CS44 series are available, with lead times of 12 weeks for larger orders.
