Keywords:gaming  MIPS  service

Antix Labs teams with MIPS Technologies to provide integrated game services that will enable consumers to play and share high-quality games on MIPS-based phones, tablets, TVs, set-top boxes (STBs) and other consumer electronic devices, both across the internet and off-network.

Antix's rich media service is designed to work across devices—regardless of operating system, hardware, input device or screen resolution. Antix claims that its unique and flexible end-to-end, multi-screen distribution format, player and store support all market-acceptable business models including freemium, subscription, time-based, ad-based and others.

In the home, Antix enables subscribers to use different devices to play collaboratively, to have different views on different screens and to provide a rich gaming experience without the expense of specialist equipment. With MIPS, Antix games can be played across MIPS-based phones and tablets so that consumers can take their games when they're on the move, extending viral distribution and social play. Also, all off-network distribution is done in a manner to protect the rights and the revenues of the publishers.

The combined efforts with Antix will enable MIPS licensees to offer a full service to their OEM customers, including the optional use of the Antix Game Store across all aspects of consumer devices. The Antix Game Store operates across the world both under its own brand and as a white label.
