ARM to capture 13% PC processor share by 2015

In the first quarter of 2011 Intel led the market with 80.8 per cent unit market share while Advanced Micro Devices and Via Technologies earned 18.9 per cent and 0.2 per cent, respectively. This totals 99.9 per cent leaving other architectures in the rounding noise.
Intel had a larger market share in the mobile sector in 1Q11 with 86.3 per cent share while AMD lost market share with 13.4 per cent.
The forthcoming report, Worldwide PC Microprocessor 2011-2015 Market Forecast, provides an outlook by server, desktop and mobile PC categories, and includes unit shipments by processor architecture including x86 and ARM.
