Vishay Intertechnology unveils the VBUS053CZ-HAF, an ESD-protection array in a leadless LLP75-7L package featuring low capacitance and leakage currents designed to offer USB-OTG port protection against transient voltage signals.

The device offers three lines of USB ESD protection at a 5.5V working range and one line of VBUS protection at a 28V working range.

The VBUS053CZ-HAF comes with an ultra-low profile of 0.6mm to minimise the board space needed for active ESD protection in high-speed data applications, such as USB 2.0 and HDMI in HDTVs and mobile electronics.

The device features a low load capacitance of 0.7pF for the three data lines D+, D-, and ID and a low maximum leakage current of 0.085µA at the working voltage of 3.3V and of 1µA at 5.5V. The device also provides transient protection as per IEC 61000-4-2 at 15kV contact and 15kV air discharge, as well as surge current protection in accordance with IEC 6100-4-5 from 3A. This device also has a halogen-free moulding compound, compliant with RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC.

Samples are available now, with lead times of 6 to 8 weeks for large orders.
