Ipetronik GmbH debuts a data logger system that offers a WLAN interface for transmitting test and measurement data wirelessly for applications in the automotive industry.

IPEwifi data logger

The IPEwifi wireless module complies with the IEEE 802.11b/g Wi-Fi standard and features a compact, rugged die-cast aluminium housing with dimensions of 126 x 51 x 25mm. It requires a power supply of 9V DC to 36V DC and operates in the extended temperature range from –40°C to +85°C. Typical power consumption is 1.5W.

The module functions as an external interface for Ipetronik data loggers or PCs/Notebooks. It comes with a combination data/power cable for connecting to a data logger. Users configure the interface via a password-protected LAN cable connection using a standard web browser and a configuration tool. Three status LEDs indicate operating states, such as power and readiness for operation, as well as active LAN and WLAN connections. High-quality system cables with Lemo connectors are available as optional extras for establishing the connection to the Ipetronik data logger systems.
