LDO regulators achieve ±2 per cent precision

With a maximum output current of 150mA, Torex Semiconductor Ltd has developed the XC6420 series of dual-channel CMOS LDO regulators which offer high precision and high ripple rejection (75dB at 1kHz).


Two low-ON resistance LDOs are housed in an ultra-compact, low-profile (0.4mm) package, permitting high-density mounting and helping conserve circuit design space.

Output voltage may be selected from within a range of 1.2V to 3.6V in steps of 0.05V, with a precision of ±2 per cent. The output of each regulator is turned off with the EN pin and put in the standby state. Additionally, these regulators are independent, thus minimising cross talk between the regulators when the output load changes.

The ultra-compact USPN-6 package (1.3 x 1.3 x h0.4mm) and SOT-26 package are available for selection as appropriate for the application, targeted for portable device applications. This product likewise complies with the RoHS Directive of the EU and is Pb-free.
