RECOM Power Inc. launches a line of 60W open frame AC input LED drivers as part of its LightLine range of constant current LED drivers that boast of ultra-compact size, about half the size of its competitors' offerings.

RECOM's RACD60 series drivers are available in a wide range of output currents. Five versions are available for any lighting system from 700mA up to 4.2A, the company said. An internal potentiometer allows the user to adjust the output current to match non-standard requirements.

Designed to comply with the European EMC and Harmonics regulations EN55015 and EN61547 and EN61000-3-2 and -3, as well as the US safety regulations UL60950, the drivers are protected against short-circuit, open-circuit, overload and over temperature. The devices' UL8750 certification is pending.

RECOM said the RACD60, which measures 101.6mm x 53.34mm, boasts of efficiencies up to 89 per cent, built-in >0.9 power factor correction and an ambient operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C without derating.
