Debugger ups iterative debug-correction process

Dolphin Integration SA is offering the Bird Owl, a built-in real-time debugger that applies the technique of Property Checkers to locate program bugs to accelerate the iterative debug-correction process.

The Bird Owl represents a new approach for bug detection as it combines detectors and activators. Detectors are used to reveal undesirable events or bugs in the application program, and once the detection shows up, an activator is defined by the user to ease the bug tracking. This makes it easy to define and use detectors where the software developers couldn't use them with the classical debug solutions.

Bird Owl is configurable for each step of the design, from FPGA prototyping to ASIC. Also, the customer can choose the configuration, around the standard option reduced to 4Kgates, and manage the connections between detectors and activators.
