Freescale unveils the MPC5125 processor based on the Power Architecture technology offering 800 MIPS of performance at less than 1W, giving designers the flexibility to optimise designs while meeting energy budgets.

The 32bit MPC5125 processor features dual Ethernet, dual USB, four CAN interfaces and a graphical display controller which is capable of supporting display resolutions up to 720p/WXGA.

The processor is well-suited for industrial networking, automotive and human-machine interface applications, such as automotive telematics, digital signage, medical monitors, industrial control/robotics and high-end lighting control. The MPC5125 is included in the Freescale product longevity programme, with assured supply for a minimum of 15 years.
