MP-840 capture card

BVM has released a high-end video and audio capture mini-PCI card that supports the high performance H.264 MPEG-4 video compression standard, digitally encoding four channels at 120fps with full D1 resolution. The MP-840 is designed for professional A/V studio pre and post production applications, for data storage in CCTV security systems and any system where digital storage of high quality video and audio is required.

The card includes four high quality NTSC/PAL video decoders that convert analogue composites video signals to digital data, four 10bit ADCs and four 2D and 3D comb filters for separating luminance and chrominance to reduce cross noise artifacts. The MP-840 also includes four audio ADCs and 4 channels of adaptive differential pulse code modulation audio encode to reduce bandwidth requirements.

Also available is an application development suite, optimised for system integration with a comprehensive set of functions that eases integration into DVR system software and accelerates time-to-market. The functions include H.264 baseline profile, live mode D1 display, H.264 recording at 120fps, quality control, frame rate control, VBR, CBR and Hybrid-VBR support, watermark function, de-interlace, video loss check, bitmap OSD, motion detection, network streaming and direct draw display mode.
