To address the growing need to wirelessly network remote assets for real-time decision making, Texas Instruments Inc. and Enfora will expand their existing joint initiative. The two companies announced that they are expanding their work on wireless connectivity solutions for the smart grid and logistics/supply chain markets. This increased collaboration puts together TI's Navilink GPS, low-power wireless and MCU technology with the wireless solution expertise of Enfora.

TI and Enfora will offer joint expertise to enterprises looking to monitor information from remote assets that require integration directly into back-office applications. They are also collaborating on opportunities in the areas of remote patient monitoring and security services.

"We are thrilled to further collaborate with TI to address these market opportunities," said Mark Weinzierl, founder, president and CEO of Enfora. "Our relationship with TI provides a solid foundation for our customers and reinforces our commitment to providing world class quality and service."

"TI values its long standing relationship with Enfora," said Mark Denissen, TI's VP of worldwide strategic marketing. "Through innovative products and strategic relationships with companies like Enfora, TI continues to deliver smarter solutions to customers in growing markets such as asset management and smart grid applications."
