ADC for power-line monitoring

Power quality systems monitor in real time, and record the voltages and currents from each of three phases of the multi-phase power feed from power utilities. These supervisory control and data acquisition systems may also monitor the voltages and currents on the neutral line, thus sensing imbalanced loads or frequency harmonics. Additionally, power-metering systems measure the root mean squared voltage and current from each of the three phases to determine power consumption.
