Development tool vendor iSystem has introduced a design tool for Infineon's TriCore 32-bit microcontroller family. The device supports a broad spectrum of functions close to the MCU hardware.

The iSystem 'Blue Box' iC3000 is combined with a single JTAG Device Access Point (DAP) adapter card. It supports a broad variety of TriCore flavours including TC173x, TC176x, TC176xED, and TC179xEd. The ED types feature with integrated trace support buffer that may be enabled via the same interface card by purchasing an additional trace software licence. The trace buffer is designed to track the program execution.

The iSystem debugger hardware is connected with a host PC via Ethernet or via USB interface. An integrated development environment (IDE) as well as the winIDEA debugger software are available from the same vendor. The system supports all compilers available for the TriCore target environment.
