This document by ST-NXP Wireless describes how a link can interface to the ISP1705 for host, peripheral or On-The-Go (OTG) application. This document also includes the PCB design guidelines when integrating the transceiver into a system.

ISP1705 is a hi-speed USB host and peripheral transceiver. It supports high-speed (480Mbps), full-speed (12Mbps) and low-speed (1.5Mbps) data rates. Its internal architecture of is ULPI-compliant interface operating at 60 MHz. It interfaces to USB ASIC, FPGA or any system chip set through an 8-pin or 12-pin ULPI interface. All static UTMI signals are accessed through the ULPI compliant register set. The ULPI interface includes a 4-bit or 8-bit data bus, three control signals and a 60 MHz clock signal for synchronisation. The bidirectional data bus with control signals can synchronously transmit and receive USB packets and access register data.
