Innovasic Semiconductor has announced production units are shipping for the IA186EB and IA188EB.

The IA186EB and IA188EB are form, fit, and function compatible with the original Intel 80C186EB, 80C188EB, 80L186EB and 80L188EB 16bit high-integration embedded processors. Additionally, they have been upgraded to operate at 5V or 3.3V. The Innovasic version operates up to 66 MHz at 5V and up to 55MHz at 3.3V.

The Innovasic processors have the same set of peripherals including the standard numeric interface, interrupt control unit, chip-select unit, DRAM refresh control unit, power management unit, three 16bit timer/counters, and two integrated serial ports supporting both synchronous and asynchronous communications.

The IA186EB and IA188EB are available in 84-Pin PLCC, 80-Pin PQFP, and 80-Pin TQFP RoHS compliant packages.
