Advanced simulation eases UWB RFIC design flow (1)

SoC complexity requires a well-established EDA design flow. It is recommended to combine high-performance circuit simulation with reliable electromagnetic extraction in a single RF design. This article describes new technologies for RF and analogue design as well as verification within established design flows. Circuits from an on-going project to develop an ultra wideband (UWB) multi-band orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (MB-OFDM) radio will be used to demonstrate the new technologies.
