Trango virtual processors support Symbian OS

Trango Virtual Processors to provide secure virtualisation support for Symbian mobile phones. Grenoble, France, June 2, 2008 – Trango Virtual Processors announced it has partnered with Symbian to support the growing market for Symbian OS mobile phones, extending the benefits of virtualisation to the Symbian ecosystem.

Symbian OS, licensed by Symbian has, to date, over 200 million Symbian devices shipped worldwide to over 250 major network operators.

"This partnership reflects our focus on the mobile market and the unique value we offer to mobile phone designs in particular," said Brad Suessmith, Senior VP and GM, Trango Virtual Processors. "By becoming a Symbian partner, we are increasing the reach of the Trango Hypervisor while strengthening our relationships with Symbian mobile phone users, application developers, manufacturers and carriers."
