Keywords:SMP  symmetric multiprocessing  multicore architecture  embedded systems design

Microprocessor designers have concluded that employing multicore architectures is the best path toward meeting growing demand for performance with controlled footprint. But while symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) is the de facto architecture on the desktop, adoption in embedded applications has been slow. Several key requirements must be in place before the promise of SMP can be realized.

Learn more about such requirements by viewing the PDF document here.
