Keywords:System Integrators; DaVinci technology; digital media processors

eInfochips will demonstrate its range of designs for the surveillance market at TIDC 2007, 29th -30th November, Bangalore. These designs for intelligent cameras and video servers will enable OEM and system Integrators to rapidly deploy solutions for homeland security, retail, banking, critical infrastructure and transportation.

"The increased threat to global security is the major driver for video surveillance market" said Pratul Shroff, CEO eInfochips. "But the passive solutions of an earlier era are no longer able to meet the new emerging surveillance requirements of threat detection, automatic responses and centralised remote monitoring. The intelligent surveillance market offers a huge potential and we plan to make the most of it with our advanced solutions."

"Surveillance is a focused market for TI's DaVinci technology, and as an early adopter of DaVinci technology, eInfochips has rapidly acquired expertise to target the burgeoning security surveillance market" said Praveen Ganapathy, director, Corporate Business Development, Texas Instruments. "TI's DaVinci technology digital media processors maximise control of quality and minimise complexity while accommodating diverse user preferences. The integrated, hardware-based image-processing pipeline provides the performance as well as the flexibility required to ensure that developers can produce the highest quality images available for their applications", he added.

Intelligent surveillance designs displayed include;

eIntelliServe-Intelligent multi-channel video server helps in migrating conventional CCTV systems to intelligent IP based systems. The design offers features like object detection, classification and tracking. eIntelliServe is based on TI's Davinci technology and has ObjectVideo content analysis algorithm. eIntelliServe reduces the total cost of ownership by reducing the storage space, network bandwidth and cabling cost.

IPNetCam- Smart IP surveillance camera reference design is a ready-to-go solution enabling original equipment manufacturers to build a range of intelligent IP surveillance cameras quickly and with low development costs. IPNetCam is capable of dual streaming with multiple codecs, the reference design is based on Texas Instruments' DaVinci technology and has ObjectVideo robust content analytics.
