Pulse has introduced its external digital video broadcast handheld (DVB-H) planar printed wire board (PWB) antenna.

Pulse's W3520 DVB-H external antenna is thin, compact and fully tested to be easily installed into DVB devices. The Pulse W3520 antenna measures 50.5-by-10.5-by-3mm. It operates at a frequency range of 470-750MHz with a maximum 3D gain of minus 4.5dBi at 470MHz and -3.5dBi at 750MHz, with a minimum return loss of minus 3dB. This exceeds the Mobile and Portable DVB-T/H Radio Access Interface (MBRAI) specifications by a margin of 4dB, according to Pulse.

Pulse's W3520 antenna has a micro-miniature connector interface (MMCX), the coaxial RF connector standard for wireless devices and ICs. Snap-in installation requires no special RF training or expertise. It has 360° of rotation, an impedance of 50Ω, and operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C.

Pricing starts at Rs.154.24 ($3.90) each in 100,000-unit quantities. Lead time is six to eight weeks.
