Simmtronics Semiconductors has announced that it has tied-up with Nvidia to launch industry's first Intel motherboard integrated with Nvidia's GeForce 7 class graphics processing unit.

Simmtronics' first mainstream motherboard based on the new NVIDIA GeForce 7-series mGPU platform for INTEL processors raises the overall performance of the PC in even common applications like Google Earth, iTunes 7, Picasa etc.

The SIMM-NV-7100i takes advantage of NVIDIA's PureVideo technology which ensures smooth, crystal clear and vibrant movie playback. The integrated DVI and HDMI port and 7.1 high definition audio subsystems translate to user benefits like single wire connectivity to big LCD TV. Besides this, the on-chip HDCP feature ensures that users have no trouble while playing back copy protected content. The board supports 1333MHz FSB which means that all the latest Intel processors are supported. The performance is further enhanced with support for DDR2 Memory (800 / 667 / 533 MHz). These motherboards are loaded with advanced 3D graphics and video features as well as full support for Microsoft Direct X 9.0 and Shader model 3.0.

According to Simmtronics, the SIMM-NV-7100i is one of the most advanced boards available in the industry today delivering a premium Microsoft Windows Vista experience and enhanced visual quality coupled with cool gaming effects. The SIMM-NV-7100i has a built-in Marvel Gigabit LAN providing high quality connectivity and the Dual Bios which prevents Bios from firmware or viral damage providing double security to the motherboard.

Indrajit Sabharwal, managing director, Simmtronics Semiconductors Limited said, "We are excited to launch industry's first motherboard with NVIDIA's graphics capabilities for INTEL CPUs. Our SIMM-NV-7100i product is targeted at the value for money segment which has processing as well as medium-level graphics requirements. It delivers the performance of an entry-level discrete motherboard and leading graphics compatibility."

Nishant Goyal, manager-Sales, South East Asia, NVIDIA added "The Geforce 7100i mGPU is designed to support the full range of Intel CPUs (Core 2, Pentium, and Celeron CPU families), including upcoming 45nm Intel "Penryn" processors. In addition to delivering an unparalleled graphics experience to mainstream PCs, the GeForce 7-Series mGPUs support HDMI or DVI digital output capability to enable the playback of protected digital content directly from the PC to high-definition televisions and other displays.'
