Notch filter mitigates signal interference

K&L Microwave Inc., part of Dover Corp.'s Microwave Products Group, has released the WSN-00256, a 941MHz Pager Interference Notch Filter. The company said this new filter mitigates signal interference caused by co-location of paging and cellular systems in buildings and businesses of all types.

"High-power, co-location paging systems operating near or around 941MHz can easily interfere with each other," says Rafi Hershtig, VP of advanced engineering and R&D for K&L Microwave. "The new 941MHz Notch Filter minimises this interference, enabling, for example, a clear channel through which healthcare providers can be contacted and called to duty."

This custom Notch Filter is highly selective with 45dB minimum rejection from 940MHz to 943MHz and is temperature stabilised from 0 to 50°C. The 941MHz Notch Filter maximises performance trade-offs between sharp-shape factors and band-edge insertion losses.

K&L Microwave's interference mitigation products push the performance envelope by using Quasi-Elliptic responses coupled with high-Q ceramic resonators.
