Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. (ISSI), a manufacturer of memory solutions, announced it has acquired the synchronous SRAM product line of Alliance Semiconductor Corp. The acquisition consists of manufacturing rights, mask sets, IP, design database, patent rights and inventory. The product line includes device densities from 4Mbytes to 36Mbytes.

Customers can immediately purchase Alliance synchronous SRAMs from ISSI. ISSI will provide long-term support for customers currently using Alliance's synchronous SRAMs. Initially, these devices will have the Alliance Semiconductor top mark. Future productions will bear the ISSI top mark.

According to ISSI, the addition of these products will expand its current synchronous SRAM product offering. ISSI currently offers asynchronous and synchronous SRAMs, with densities from 64Kbytes up to 36Mbytes.

Early this year, Tundra Semiconductor Corp. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Alliance's Systems Solutions Business Unit.
