EMI filters offer surge suppression

Foster Transformer is offering EMI filters with optional surge suppression. These devices can be mounted with .25-inch quick connect terminals for easy implementation.

Available for 100 to 120 or 200 to 240 line voltages, these compact EMI filters incorporate 5mH common mode inductors suitable for up to 6A service. Their fully encapsulated construction complies with EN 133200 and UL 1283, and the UL94 VO plastic enclosure increases protection against electrical shock. Leakage current is significantly reduced by eliminating the capacitor to earth ground connection, said the company.

These RoHS-compliant EMI filters are available with optional bypass capacitors for increased differential mode noise rejection, and metal oxide varistors to protect against line transients. Custom configurations and multiple stage filters are available by special order. Applications include appliances, medical devices, industrial equipment, motor control, lighting and recreational vehicles.
