Continuous Computing relocates India R&D facility

Continuous Computing Corp., a global provider of Network Service-Ready Platforms that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy converged communications, announced the opening of a newly relocated R&D facility in Bangalore.

The company originally opened an India office in July 2004 with ten employees, and currently employs over 80 software and hardware developers.

Pradeep Malhotra, vice president and managing director for Continuous Computing India Pvt. Ltd, said that the company expects to spend approximately Rs.45 crores over the next three years in India. "This new Bangalore facility serves as Continuous Computing's flagship India location for Trillium protocol software development and is also our base for pre- and post-sales support for key India and Asia-based telecom equipment manufacturer customers," Malhotra said.

The newly-relocated facility covers 23,000 square foot and would serve as the location for Trillium protocol software development, and is also the company's base for pre- and post-sales support for key India and Asia-based telecom equipment manufacturer customers.

Continuous Computing has five other offices in Asia, with a total of around 200 employees. Beginning its Asia Pacific presence in Seoul, Korea in February 2003, the company invested further in the region with the opening of an office in Tokyo, Japan in November 2003. In mid-2004, the company opened its first office in Shanghai, and subsequently expanded into Beijing and Shenzhen in July 2005 through the acquisition of products, technology and staff from China-based UP Technologies (China) Ltd.
