RIA terminal blocks self-adjust for wire gauges

RIA has added SpringCon terminal blocks to its range of screw terminal PCB connections. SpringCon is available in both single part, with PCB terminals, and two-part PCB connector versions. This innovative spring clamp termination provides a secure and rapid method of conductor termination.

The spring clamp, which is operated buy a simple lever system, is made of stainless steel and provides a gas tight joint that self adjusts for different wire gauges. Other spring clamp systems still need a screwdriver to actuate the clamp mechanism, SpringCon has no such requirement. Termination is very quick, simple and robust offering maximum production time savings.

With ratings from 8A to 25A, the single part terminal blocks are available in the following pitches: 2.5-, 2.54-, 3.81-, 5- and 7.7mm. The SpringCon two part connectors are rated up to 10A on 2.5mm, 3.81mm and 5mm pitches. Both styles are available in 2 through to 12 poles.

The SpringCon range complements the other families: RIA Con—screw termination terminal blocks and connectors and IDC Con—IDC termination terminal blocks.
