KEMET adds extensions to X5R ceramic surface mount offering

KEMET Corp. announced the addition of several voltage and capacitance extensions to its commercial X5R ceramic surface mount portfolio. These new releases offer capacitance ranges from 1.2µF to 22µF in 0603, 0805 and 1206 EIA case sizes with 10V ratings.

The newest capacitance values are available in X5R dielectric and in K (±10 percent) and M (±20 percent) tolerances. All parts are environmentally friendly, in compliance with RoHS legislation, added the company. These components provide circuit functions such as decoupling and output filtering to the computer, power supply and automotive market segments.
