Keywords:wafer inspection

Intel Capital has helped wafer inspection company Negevtech Ltd complete a $26 million round of financing, according to a Globes Online report that referenced unnamed sources close to the company.

Intel Capital, making its first investment in Negevtech (Rehovot, Israel), joined existing shareholders, including Genesis Partners, Pitango Venture Capital, Poalim Ventures, Star Ventures and Lehman Brothers in the round, the report said. The report added that shareholders Qualitau Ltd and Orbotech Ltd did not participate in the current round.

The sources were reported saying they hoped the money, which brings the amount invested in Negevtech since its founding in 1999 to $60 million, would be sufficient to fund the company until an initial public offering of shares in 2007.
