Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) announced G++ technology which provides twice the range and 50 percent greater throughput over previous solutions. This new software is included in TI's latest generation wireless LAN (WLAN) platforms targeting DSL, cable and voice gateways and consumer electronics.

According to TI, G++ technology features TX output power of 23dBM and industry-leading RX sensitivity and improves the robustness of the network, using unique techniques to minimize interference from products such as microwaves, cordless phones and neighboring wireless networks. The software also features an enhanced 125Mpbs mode, enabling TCP/IP throughput of 36Mbps in real world environments.

The G++ technology is available on TIs latest generation WLAN platforms, which feature support of the latest security standards and flexible antenna options with up to four configurations.
