There is so much amazingly cool "stuff" to see and do that I'm amazed I find the time to get any real work done. In my blog I will waffle on about the books I'm reading, the projects I'm building, and the weird and wonderful websites I blunder across. Please Email Me if you see anything you think will "tickle my fancy." | ||

I don’t know about you, but whenever I have to take medications over a period of time, I have a tremendous amount of difficulty remembering if I've taken them or not. Currently, the only medication I'm on is Crestor, which I take to control my cholesterol. All I have to do is take on......

Several weeks ago, I was walking around my office building when I ran across my chums Ivan and Darryl playing with a new toy that Darryl had picked up on eBay.
This little rascal (the toy, not Darryl) turned out to be a component tester. I have to say that I was pretty amazed by what ......

I don’t know about you, but I receive a staggering number of unsolicited telemarketer calls these days. First of all we have the charities (both real and dubious) -- I get at least two calls a day from folks like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Special Olympics, the Fraternal Order of Pol......

Personally, I think that the classic Medieval Help Desk video is hard to beat. I remember this video being posted as if it were yesterday, but did you realize that it actually made its debut nine years ago as I pen these words (where does the time go)?
However, my old chum Aubrey Kaga......

A quick Google for something like "Python vs. C" will yield lots of comparisons out there. Sad to relate, however, trying to work out which is the "best" language is well-nigh impossible for many reasons, not the least that it's extremely difficult to define what one means ......

In line with my Caveman Diorama project, we've nowcome to the stage where we need to consider how to implement the fire around which a miniature version of yours truly and his cavemen companions will be relaxing, mulling over the events of the day, and commenting on the quality of the mammoth ......

Many of us know the saying "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." If this is true, then I'm a very dangerous man indeed. Before we proceed to consider this point further, however, let's first pause to ponder the fact that the aforementioned "saying" is in fact a mis......

Well, I just saw something that sent shivers down my spine. I don’t know whether to be excited or afraid. My chum Arthur Smith -- a man who manages to balance beekeeping with being a world authority on cosmic rays -- just emailed me with a link to this video from the folks at Boston Dynamics......

About a month ago, I had a chat chatting on the phone with my chums over at Synapse Wireless. Although the concept of the "Hello There!" badges originated with yours truly, when it comes to implementing low-power wireless mesh networks, the guys and gals at Synapse are my first port of c......

One of our younger readers--we'll call Ryan (because that's his name)--is desperately keen to learn more about all aspects of electronics. Every now and then, an email will "ping" its way into my Inbox with a new question. The problem is that there's rarely an easy answer, be......
