RnRMarketResearch.com has published a report indicating that the global advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) market has grown significantly in recent years to about $4.3 billion in 2014. Presently, most major ADAS technologies are attracting less than 10 per cent penetration rates, but in the near future, park assist system (PAS), lane departure warning system (LDWS) and blind-spot detection (BSD) would be the first three ADAS applications to reach more than 10 per cent penetration rates. In terms of geographies, the largest penetration rates of ADAS market was still in Europe with a penetration rate of around 9.86 per cent last year.

Globally, ADAS market manufacturers are concentrated in Europe, America and Taiwan. Denso, Delphi, Bosch and Continental are the leaders in this market. Leading manufacturers mainly invest in ACC and BSD, while Hella spend the most on BSD. In 2014, Continental ranked first in the global ADAS market with a market share over 17 per cent. The before market of Chinese ADAS market has come up in recent years. Currently all major automobile companies have models equipped with ADAS. Most of the automobile joint ventures in China are still using foreign companies' mature technologies. In 2014, the market size of Chinese ADAS market was about $1200 million, within which LCA and PAS obtained the highest configuration rate.

In recent years some traditional automotive electronics manufacturers in China have introduced their own ADAS products, but most of these products are aimed at aftermarket, with only four of them entering the before market. INVO Automotive Electronics is a leading ADAS manufacturer in China. More than 60 per cent of its revenue comes from LDW & anti-collision products. INVO is the LDW supplier of Changan Automobile and BAIC Motor and the Panorama Assist supplier of GAC Group.

In another research, analysts forecast the global ADAS market to grow at 24.97 per cent CAGR to 2019 and segment the market into 7 categories: Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), park assistance system (PAS), adaptive cruise control (ACC), BSD, night vision system (NVS), LDWS and others (including adaptive front lighting, drowsiness monitor, forward collision warning, head-up display and driver monitoring systems).
