IQD's TCXO flaunts frequency stability down to ±0.28ppm

IQD has unveiled its latest temperature controlled crystal oscillator (TCXO) that the company said provides a practical alternative to oven controlled crystal oscillators (OCXO) in space- or power-constrained applications. The IQXT-200 series is intended for applications that include portable instrumentation equipment and communications systems (fixed and mobile) that frequently require a high stability oscillator but don't have either the physical space for or power to drive an OCXO, added the firm.

Housed in an industry standard 7 x 5mm ceramic package, the IQXT-200 series boasts a class leading frequency stability down to ±0.28ppm across a wide frequency range from 10-50MHz. Operating over the standard industrial temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, users can select variants to operate off a 3V, 3.3V or 5V power supply with the current drawn being typically less than 15mA. A range of outputs can be specified including HCMOS or Clipped Sine Wave.

Versions are also available that allow the use of an external voltage to control the pullability that caters for applications where the output frequency needs to be locked. All devices are RoHS compliant, reflow soldering compatible and supplied on tape and reel.
