Qualcomm Inc. joins the World Economic Forum (WEF), becoming a strategic partner along with a group of 100 global companies representing diverse regions and industries, committed to improving the state of the world.

"Qualcomm has been involved with the World Economic Forum for more than five years, sharing the same vision of improving the state of the world, and we are pleased to continue our relationship now as a Strategic Partner," said Paul E. Jacobs, chairman and CEO of Qualcomm. "We see this relationship as an opportunity to continue raising awareness about the power wireless communication has to positively impact our communities."

Strategic Partners work closely with the Forum to make a tangible impact on global issues and society by contributing to better policy making, informing business decisions, sharing best practices and engaging stakeholders beyond commercial objectives.

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organisation committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. Incorporated as a not-for-profit foundation in 1971 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the Forum is tied to no political, partisan or national interests (www.weforum.org).
