QuickLogic Corp. says it will showcase tablets with the innovative VEE (Visual Enhancement Engine) and DPO (Display Power Optimiser) technologies at the Mobile World Congress 2011, on February 14-17 at Barcelona.

Quicklogic says the VEE technology, based on the iridix core from Apical Ltd significantly enhances the viewability of mobile device displays under challenging viewing conditions such as bright ambient light by dynamically optimising video characteristics to deliver a natural viewing experience.

Meanwhile, used in conjunction with the VEE technology, the DPO technology allows developers to extend battery life by reducing display backlight or LED intensity without compromising the viewing experience. This approach saves considerable system power and extending single-charge battery life.
