Project length: 3 years
Requested TIP funding: Rs.13.40 crore ($3 million)
Project total (est.): Rs.26.80 crore ($6 million)
Project Goal: To scale up and demonstrate a commercially viable production line employing a novel freeze-drying process to prepare complex biomolecules in powder forms that simplifies the storage and delivery of emerging, protein-based pharmaceuticals.

Arsenal Medical Inc.
High-Throughput Manufacturing of Electrospun Core-Sheath Fibres
Project length: 3 years
Requested TIP funding: Rs.10.27 crore ($2.3 million)
Project total (est.): Rs.20.99 crore ($4.7 million)
Project Goal: To develop processes to increase production of drug-filled, hollow fibres to rates necessary to enable commercially viable use of these fibres in devices and products for drug delivery, tissue engineering, nanoscale sensors and other applications.

Reprogram a Mammalian Cell Line to Optimise Production of Biopharmaceuticals
Project length: 3 years
Requested TIP funding: Rs.12.06 crore ($2.7 million)
Project total (est.): Rs.24.12 crore ($5.4 million)
Project Goal: To create new tools for modifying the chemical structure of proteins that are produced by current biomanufacturing technologies to improve the therapeutic action of the manufactured protein.

Volatile Reporters for Monitoring Biomanufacturing of Therapeutic Proteins
Project length: 2 years
Requested TIP funding: Rs.4.47 crore ($1 million)
Project total (est.): Rs.10.27 crore ($2.3 million)
Project Goal: To develop genetically engineered measurement technologies for real-time monitoring of cellular health and production capacity during the manufacturing of therapeutic proteins.
