LTX-Credence Corp. (LTXC) has improved the capabilities of its ASL analogue and mixed signal test platform with the introduction of the ASLx test system, enabling it to offers four times the analogue and digital pin count and five times the power capability of the ASL1000.

The company claims ASLx improves the digital, time measurement, audio and power performance while retaining loadboard and test program compatibility with the more than 3,500 ASL1000 systems installed worldwide. It was designed to meet new demands of the power management market and to enhance multi-site test capabilities.

The ASLx is compliant with LTXC's Integrated Multi-System Architecture, making it flexible enough for a large number of configurations.

LTXC said volume shipments of ASLx will start in Q1 2011.
