STMicroelectronics will display its latest products in the fields of automotive safety, infotainment, and navigation at the 17th ITS World Congress in Busan, Korea.

The ST products to be highlighted at the congress are the EyeQ2 processor, designed for automotive vision; a new automotive CMOS camera module for vision-based advanced driver-assistance systems); a state-of-the-art multi-standard digital radio receiver chipset (RF + base band); the Cartesio+ application processor with embedded GPS; and the latest generation of ST's single-chip stand-alone positioning receiver, Teseo II, for portable and in-car telematic applications.

ST jointly developed the EyeQ2 with MobilEye. The company said it is the most powerful processor designed for automotive vision. It has multiple cores and seven dedicated vision-processing units for advanced driver-assist features such as collision-avoidance technologies, lane-departure warning systems and pedestrian protection.

The multi-standard digital radio receiver chipset (RF + base band), meanwhile, is derived from a digital radio base band IC that combines AM/FM phase diversity with dual DAB chains in a single chip. It can switch between the legacy AM/FM and the terrestrial digital broadcasting (DAB+/DMB-A/DRM).

The Cartesio+ application processor with embedded GPS offers a rich feature set for multimedia car navigation systems while meeting strict automotive-quality constraints, ST said.

The Teseo II, on the other hand, is billed as a flexible and cost-effective solution for portable and in-car telematic applications and is compatible with all major navigation standards, including GPS, GALILEO and GLONASS.
