Torex Semiconductor Ltd unveils the XC6503 series of compact, low quiescent current regulators that do not require an output capacitor and have a maximum output current of 500mA.

XC6503 series

The XC6503 series of LDO regulator ICs, available in ultra-small USP-4 (1.2 x 1.6 x h0.6mm) packages, has an output voltage range of 1.2V to 5V. Internal phase compensation ensures stability even without an output capacitor.

Built-in are protective circuits for short-circuit protection and overheating protection. The XC6503D series' quiescent current in the standby state can be set to 0.1µA or less. The XC6503P, meanwhile, is a 3-pin regulator.

Also available are SOT-25, SOT-89-5 (XC6503D only), and TO-252 (XC6503P).
