3GPP LTE signal solution offers customised testing

Agilent Technologies Inc. reveals the N6070A series signalling conformance test for 3GPP LTE user equipment (UE). This extends the capability of the Agilent PXT mobile communications test set to a complete signalling conformance test solution (protocol conformance test or PCT) to enable operators to rapidly deploy robust user equipment, like smartphones and data cards.

Agilent explains that with this solution, users may implement more comprehensive test coverage by making their own custom test cases which go beyond the necessary core requirements to execute supplementary and wide-ranging test scenarios. A Windows-based user interface with TTCN-3 scripting environment, a programming language used for testing of communication protocols, allows easy configuration of a range of network parameters.

VP and general manager of Agilent's microwave and communications division, Guy Séné cites, "Signalling conformance test, with validated test cases and support for test case customisation, is the next evolutionary step for the PXT." He explains, "Agilent's new test solution goes beyond the traditional LTE development cycle. The new test solution is invaluable for development test, regression test, pre-conformance test, conformance test and network acceptance test."

The E6621A PXT wireless communications test set and the N6070A series signalling conformance test are now available for ordering. Pricing is dependent on specific configuration.
