SBC tailored for fanless embedded apps

From ITOX Applied Computing comes the US15WP ML936-B16 single board computer (SBC) based on Intel Corp.'s 1.6GHz Z530P Atom processor system controller hub.

The SBC fits the ECX form factor, offering board dimensions of 105mm x 146mm and the same mounting-hole dimensions as 3.5-in. subcompact form-factor SBCs. The ML936-B16 ECX board can be employed as a drop-in replacement in many applications, such as digital signage, ATM/POS terminals, kiosks, industrial automation and control, gaming, medical diagnostics and healthcare, interactive client and security.

Featuring Intel's hyper-threading, virtualisation and enhanced speed-step technologies, the SBC is suited for thermally-constrained, fanless embedded applications requiring a high-performance x86 board with configuration flexibility. The processor's power consumption is less than 5W. A single 12Vdc power input simplifies configuration in embedded applications, and further reduces system cost.

Features of the SBC include one 200-pin SODIMM socket for up to 1GB of DDR2 400-/533MHz system memory; one PCIe Gigabit LAN controller; four USB 2.0 ports; two serial COM ports; one PS/2 port; one IDE Ultra ATA/100 interface; one Trusted Platform Module 1.2 header; and 24bit stereo audio. An integrated graphics media accelerator provides a DVI graphics port and an LVDS display interface supporting 18- and 24bit panels.
