Keywords:SanDisk  takeover  bid

Rumours are going around that SanDisk Corp. is again being targeted for a takeover. Just the previous year, Korean company Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd made a hostile takeover bid for the company. Sources have said that Samsung and Toshiba Corp. are now looking to make another bid.

Samsung and SanDisk declined to comment. Toshiba did not reply to an e-mail.

Jim Handy, an analyst with Objective Analysis, said he is "sceptical" that SanDisk will get acquired in the near term.

Money talks, however. Samsung is willing to buy SanDisk at Rs.1,242.98 ($25) per share, Handy said. SanDisk wants Rs.2,983.15 ($60) a share, he added.
