U8000 Series

Agilent Technologies Inc. announces the availability of the U8000 Series single-output, non-programmable DC power supplies, a low-cost expansion of the popular Agilent E3600 Series. Beyond cost savings, these DC power supplies offer excellent value with features that are typical only in costly programmable models, says Agilent. With power ranging from 90 to 150W, they are fit for a variety of electronics-manufacturing applications and provide reliable, affordable power for educational uses.

The U8000 Series offers fully integrated over-voltage and over-current protection. According to Agilent, during test setup, users can save and recall up to three memory states, minimising manual errors and increasing efficiency. The series also offers excellent load and line regulation, fast transient response and low output noise.

Agilent's U8000 Series also includes security features uncommon in standard power supplies. One example is a keypad lock, which prevents measurement errors due to accidental or unauthorised front-panel use. Another is a physical lock mechanism that secures instrument storage and is especially useful on manufacturing floors and in education labs.

The Agilent U8000 Series power supplies are available in Asia, the Americas and Japan, and will be available in Europe starting July 28. Pricing is as follows: U8001A 90W, 0-30V, 3A power supplies: Rs.11,806.22 ($295); and U8002A 150W, 0-30V, 5A power supplies: Rs.14,807.80 ($370).
