Use inductive converter LED drivers

LEDs are beginning to replace halogen lights in residential, automotive and other general lighting applications because they are brighter, more reliable, highly efficient and more price competitive. Mid-size LCD panel applications and devices with LCD backlighting use LED drivers to deliver a regulated current to the LEDs across all operating conditions to achieve desired brightness.

There are two types of LED driver topologies: capacitive charge pumps and inductor-based switching regulators. This article focuses on the use of inductive converters to drive LED applications. It talks about the advantages of using inductive converters for LED regulation and lighting efficiency.
