Design lib minimises 130nm CMOS challenges

Dongbu HiTek has developed a special design library that minimises the electromigration and cross-talk that often arise in devices processed at line widths of 130nm and lower. Providing different LDI functions, the library enables higher yields, improved performance and faster time-to-market of LCD driver IC (LDI) devices implemented at the 130nm CMOS node.

The LDI library follows the release of Dongbu HiTek's image sensor processor design library for developing CMOS image sensor (CIS) devices at 130nm.

"Both of our internally developed libraries enable higher yields and better performance while accelerating time-to-market by up to six months," said Jae Song, executive VP of marketing, Dongbu HiTek.

Song added that the company plans to continue development of LDI and ISP design libraries, noting that 110nm-node versions would be available by early 2008.

"You can expect our 110nm-node libraries to incorporate high-integration and low power consumption functions that will be optimised to support chip designs for compact consumer products such as mobile handsets and PMPs," added Song.

Like the CIS design library, the LDI design lib is available to foundry customers at no charge, said Adlink.
